Carl Phillips, Professor of English and African and Afro-American Studies at the University of Washington, will deliver the annual Carl Deppe Memorial Lecture on "Sense and Sensibility: The Art and Controversies of Translation. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at 4:00 PM at the Cowell Provost's House; a reception will follow.
Majors: I am pulling together a list of you to put on our web page. Please send me (hedrickatucsc.edu) your name, and any information you'd like to see included (e.g. e-mail address, anticipated year of graduation, statement of interests, photo of yourself or of something significant to you). Spread the word to others.
